Benno Veenstra: Senior Veterinary Surgeon, Director
Since coming to the Shropshire Hills in 2001 I have felt very accepted and at home here. Of all the places
I have lived this must be the nicest of all. In 2005 Emmy and I decided to take the practice on for ourselves. With a
strong dedication to farm animal practice we are very much enjoying the challenges presented to us. We have also bought
our own place in Worthen so we are properly settled now.
Dominique Moelands: Senior Veterinary Surgeon
After I graduated, I started working here in April 2006. I studied in Utrecht like all the vet students in
Holland. During my study I was especially interested in farm animals and art. After the five general years I specialised
in ruminants, horse and pigs and studied Art history for a year. So if you have a painting on the wall and you are not
sure if it is painted by a famous artist just let me know.
Emmy Veenstra-Broz: Financial Controller, Director
One of a kind, born and bred Australian with quite an international background but we won't go down
there. I studied in The Netherlands and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Communication and Public Relations. I took
over the practice with Benno my husband in 2005 and love my job, I wouldn't want it any other way with the friendly
farmers and the practice attractively situated overlooking the hills of Shropshire. What does my job involve,
everything that the vets do not do.
Debbie Hales-Constable: Practice Manager
Born in Surrey, along time ago! I was brought up in the farming community, Dad was a farmer. I
trained and pursued a career as a ballet dancer/teacher until I moved to Shropshire in 1982. I live with my husband Phil
along with Julian, the Dobermann, Mr Darcy and Bussell the cats and 3 hens. I joined Stapeley Vets in Dec 2007 after
many years as Practice Manager for a GP practice, I much prefer animal patients to human ones!! My job, like Emmy's
involves pretty much everything the Vets don't do.
